# Delete card PIN

**DELETE** `/issuing/cards/{card_id}/pin`

Remove a debit card's PIN. Transactions that require a PIN decline until you set a new one with the update card PIN endpoint. Succeeds when the card has no PIN. A renewal copies the PIN when it is created, so deleting the PIN on the original card doesn't affect a renewed card that already exists.

### Path Parameters

- `card_id` `string` _(required)_ — Unique identifier for the card.
